I’ve known Mike for close to 20 years. He does a great job with energy procurement focusing on clients’ unique needs. His deep understanding of the nuances and details of utility rates and structures provides excellent service and significant savings.

Mike digs deeper, works harder and is more devoted to service than anyone I've worked with or competed against in the utility consulting industry. Over the years we have developed a mutual respect that has grown into a friendship. His greatest strength, high personal integrity, is also his chief weakness among those unwilling to put principle above profit

Megan Mooney, MBA

I find Mike's 'can-do' spirit inspirational as it coupled with a true willingness to lead by example and a diligent, dedicated work ethic. While Mike's genuine passion for exceptional customer service is likely the main reason for his proven track record of success in one of the most competitive markets around, what has always impressed me the most about Mike is his willingness to share his time and talents with his employees. Working closely with Mike to integrate our two organization's post-acquisition was a fantastic 'on-the-job' learning experience for me at a pivotal point in my career at THG. I'm glad that I had the chance to work for Mike and would gladly do so again if the opportunity arose.

There is not enough natural gas supply competition to serve end users in Texas. We are working to change that. Clearwater's goal is to bring more competitive pricing to Texas and connect with Texas producers to help them market their gas and manage their risk. If you buy or sell natural gas in Texas (or any of the other seven states served by Clearwater) please reach out. We want to compete for your business. Worked with customers, helping them manage their energy purchases and minimizing their costs through better purchasing strategies. Results of this work include customers that saved millions of dollars over their contract terms through effective risk management. I also worked to educate PPM's staff of 30 people and designing and overseeing the development of a highly capable energy data management system. THG and Rely Energy merged on 3/31/2011. I became a partner in the new firm and was primarily in charge of the Fort Worth energy procurement and direct to customer data management services. After the merger we decided to unite under the THG Energy Solutions, LLC name. We are still focused on serving customer and putting in place the best plans to help them manage there utilities.

THG Energy Solutions assisted companies, institutions and municipalities of many sizes with all of their energy purchasing needs. Our wide range of experience and service capabilities – from purchasing energy to helping customers manage energy/utility data, energy contracts and invoice auditing with our proprietary online software – benefited customers by providing them with time to focus on their business while we help control the cost of the energy necessary for its success. I was blessed to found and grow THG until is successful sale in 2011.

As a concerned citizen, and someone that just has a VERY hard time putting up with the status quo when things aren't going well, I ran for congress in the 2010 Republican Primary. My goal was to serve the citizens of western Tarrant, Parker and Wise counties by providing the leadership and problem-solving initiative needed to meet the challenges facing our nation. On issues like Social Security, the economy, immigration reform and healthcare the Republican Party has not been leading. This has to change, and sending the same people back to Washington just doesn't seem like the best way to make that happen Obviously, I didn't win in my first political race but I am truly grateful for the experience and for the people I got to meet.

This was my first job out of college. I enjoyed working with Don and the team. I was the 3rd employ besides the owner. The 8 years at FEC was a great time of learning the industry and a lot about serving customers. This was my first job out of college. I enjoyed working with Don and the team.
