      The TN Insurance Financial Services Investigations Unit is designed for the reduction and elimination of insurance fraud in Tennessee. The unit receives complaints from victims, companies, law enforcement, producers, as well as citizens. The unit will then conduct an investigation into the allegations of fraudulent activities by interviewing witnesses, victims and the subjects. We perform background checks, and collect evidence. Online resources used can include, but are not limited to Criminal Justice Portal, SBS, NAIC, CLEAR, PACER, and FINRA. During investigations, the unit will prepare memorandums of interview, Inquisitorial Order requests, and subpoena requests. The unit has testified in hearings for both civil and criminal proceedings.
