As of January 1, 2014 Pratum has opened up an office in Edmonton and I am managing the new location. I am in the Calgary office Monday through Wednesday and in Edmonton Thursdays and Fridays. As part of my responsibilities I actively seek out new client opportunities while initiating, operating and supervising current field activities and reporting. I provide leadership and training to staff while supervising work quality and managing costs. I have experience working with both federal and provincial regulatory bodies and am responsible for submitting work plans, budgets and schedules for all of Pratum’s sites north of Calgary. I hold a B.Sc. from the University of Alberta in Forest Business Management (2006) and a Technical Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Forest Technology (2002). I am a Professional Forester as recognized by the College of Alberta Professional Foresters. I have six years of experience in the forest industry and two years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. I have experience in the areas of Phase I, II, & III Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), including remediation and reclamation, program planning and management, Silviculture prescriptions (planting, site preparation and vegetation management), ecosystem classification, DSA surveys, and reclamation reporting. I have also initiated trials with respect to transplanting established trees and monitoring the natural ingress of aspen on a fully disturbed and reclaimed well sites.

I helped landowners make educated decisions regarding their woodlots, shelterbelts and treed areas on their land. I acted as a liaison between the landowner and loggers representing the interests of the landowner during harvesting activities. I was responsible for providing landowners with management plans which could include anything from a wildlife enhancement strategy to a logging plan or help them with the development of a small business related to the forest industry.
