      I was Head Hunted by Comparex to join their team of Major Accounts Sales people selling the Hitachi range of IBM plug compatible Mainframe Computers, Disk Drives, Tape Drive Subsystems and Printers I was consistently over target on Sales Revenues and every year was again in the top 3 of the Comparex European Sales Team and enjoyed such things as a week in Bermuda!One of the nicer Quota Club Venues that were chosen.My most notable achievement was selling a £3.2M Hitachi Mainframe to LOLA displacing the IBM one!I was offered a Sales Management role in London but instead turned the offer down to start my own business which I did!

      I was promoted to Engineering Manager after 2 years and my team looked after Major Accounts such as Norwich Union, Bernard Mathews and the Ford Motor Company.In 1980 I successfully applied for a position in Sales and was Salesman of the year in my first year!Subsequently I was year on year in the top three for sales revenues making quota club each year and in 1985 I was promoted to a Sales Manager with a team of 9 Sales People covering London and East Anglia.
