  • Brought commercial governance to the mechanical division offering advice and support to operations and commercial functions• Built a 6-person strong commercial team over a 2yr period; having started with only one Senior QS and one Assistant QS in March 2015 I set up a Learning & Development programme to ensure the structured development of all staff employees• Implemented a new cost model to the fabrication facility to enable closer monitoring and visibility to the Board of Directors• Ensured the positive end outcome of a 13.5m ME&I installation project for a global manufacturer, to both the satisfaction of internal and external clients• Set up a focus group to study and report back current industry trends associated with Modular Build, highlighting key areas of strength within both our division and others within the company• Fronted a circa £8m claim on a major installation project, guiding key individuals within the project team to enable the compilation of all pertinent data and documentation. Reported weekly progress to Board of Directors including level of confidence, time and resource requirements and more. • Ensured the successful negotiation and close out of contractual ‘disputes’ on two major projects enabling the company to remove any associated risk of damages and counterclaims against them.

  Worked as part of a team delivering ME&I engineering solutions within the nuclear, power, utilities and chemical industries. The diverse nature of the contracts undertaken within the Boulting Group led to a 'fast track' development including managing and coaching a 3 person commercial team. As always my objective was to ensure that every aspect of a project is delivered to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. I have utilised NEC3, GC works and ICHEME contracts and have been involved in numerous dispute resolutions where I have played an integral role in negotiations.
