  The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is the charity supporting cadets in schools. The Combined Cadet Force (CCF) is a unique educational partnership that operates in schools across the UK. Through enjoyable military themed and adventurous activities, cadets have the opportunity to take responsibility, develop skills such as leadership, self-reliance, resourcefulness, endurance and perseverance. As a charity, we represent CCFs and their adult volunteers by providing a national forum for CCF contingents and work closely with the Ministry of Defence, headteachers’ organisations and other interested bodies. The CCF has undergone a tremendous, Government driven, growth programme that has doubled the number of cadet units that the charity supports. The expansion has been exclusively in the state sector and targeted towards deprived areas of the UK. A key aim is to support members through our grant programmes to which CCFs can apply for both group and individual cadet support. Cadets are at the heart of everything we do and we are proud to be able to support them to take part in CCF activities, from helping those in hardship get to annual camp, to supporting the development of new skills with music lessons and specialist training.
