My responsibilities as Driver Recruiter include manage responses an carry out initial telephone interviews with potential drivers, maintain applicant data and track calls and follow ups, handle orientation and pre - employment screenings. Duties also include advertising attending job fairs and business expos. Keep Excel spread sheets to maintain terminal drivers list, available power units at each terminal that are empty and also specific driver that is assigned to a power unit. Ability to listen and analyze questions and answers. Knowledge of transportation equipment. Ability to keep and track data . Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations and E-Logs. Familiar with driver files , truck permits. I have over 25 years of driving experience and logged over 2 million safe miles. knowledge in the Trucking Industry from growing up in a trucking family and being a driver myself. Show less

Transferred from Rands Trucking to work at sister company hauling frac sand from mine to processing plant. My duties were operating trucks with belly dump trailers and quad axle dump trucks. Training new hires on equipment and company procedures at sand mine and processing plant. My job also included back up shift supervisor which included duties such as when a supervisor needed time off or temporarily be absent from office I could sit in and do the duties of the shift supervisor. Schedule drivers to trucks and dispatch. Work with Excel spread sheets on entering loads and tonnage for 32 trucks and 10 dump trucks. Be able to run 10 to 12 hour shift with 42 employees and make safe and quick decisions with problems as they came up when needed. Show less
