While Mike worked for me as an Enterprise Watch Officer in the Southwest Asia Cyber Center, he was much more than just that. Mike brought maturity and poise to a demanding, dynamic 24/7 watch floor and he not only kept me apprised of current events and crises, but he consistently looked over the horizon and anticipated what was coming. Mike has the unique ability to blend customer service and situational awareness for organizational leaders. I always felt confident when I left the watch floor in his hands while attending to other matters. Mike knew how to handle IT and cybersecurity incidents at the lowest level possible and when to elevate concerns for leadership awareness and involvement. He always brought me the information I needed, when I needed it, and he presented me with options, not just problems. Mike's skill set and aptitude has continued to grow since then, but I know that he remains a highly capable technical leader who would be an asset to any organization. I am most impressed by Mike's ascendency in Army leadership roles since he worked for me, but I am not surprised by it. He has worked in increasingly complex and demanding roles since our time together, and I hope to work with him again soon. Feel free to reach out to me any time to discuss Mike's performance and my assessment of his potential.
