Journeyman Electrician 1997 – 2020 • Maintain Journeyman’s license as per state and government requirements and regulations. • Connect wires to transformers, circuit breakers and other components. • Repair or replace fixtures, wiring, equipment. • Assemble, install, test or maintain electrical or electronic appliances, apparatus or fixtures. • Plan layout and installation of fixtures, wiring, equipment according to job specification and local codes. • Tests electrical systems for continuity in electrical circuits, wiring, equipment using Ohmmeters, Voltmeters and Oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system. • Use of a variety of equipment used in the electrical trade. • Bending and installation of conduit, tubes or pipes in walls, partition or other concealed areas. • Removal, replacement, setup and installs of generators, motors, electrical panels and more following schematics, blue prints or sketches. • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects or the need for adjustment, repair or replacement and ensure compliance with codes. • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus or components using test equipment to locate the cause of breakdowns and correct the problems. • Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving/lifting heavy object • Train apprentices to install, maintain or report electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures.
