Yooshin's core areas of services include Master Planning, Feasibility Studies, Design (Conceptual ~Detailed), Construction Supervision pertaining to civil/environmental & transport sector projects. The sectors in which we have maintained an impeccable reputation for over 50 years include airports, roads, railways, water resource-related facilities, environmental facilities/plants, urban®ional planning and development, bridge design, ports/harbors, urban/regional planning, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering and operational management and training in the maintenance of said facilities. As GM of the Overseas Development Dept. at Yooshin, I manage the due diligence work that plays a role in the firm's decisions regarding how, why, and what types of projects to pursue. Strictly speaking, more than often, the "potential client" becomes the determining factor in making my conclusion. Hence, my work, when successfully carried out, essentially fires potential clients. I am currently responsible for International Bids under QCBS schemes for consulting work in the SE Asia and West Africa region. With annual business volumes(accounts receivables) amounting to $50 to $70 million in my assigned region, disputes regarding invoice/payments, tax, foreign currency policy issues are proving to become a serious problem. As business integrity and transparency/compliance gets stricter by the year, there is an increasing trend in the number of disputes in which we get involved and the root of the disputes rises from corruption and/or fraudulent practices of "some" clients.
