    • Vice President, Engineering & Quality Assurance
      • Jun 1995 - Present

Came to Custom Castings in June 1995 as the Quality Assurance Manager to implement the Fiat/New Holland Qualitas quality management system and achieve certification to ISO 9002:1994. Custom Castings achieved certification to both standards in 1996 and continues to be certified to ISO9001:2015 In 2005 combined both Quality Assurance and Engineering departments into one tightly integrated & cross functional department. Current department structure includes tool design and simulation, manufacturing engineering, process improvement, metallurgy and quality functions. Introduced high end CAD software ( Unigraphics NX ), casting solidification software ( Magma ), increased measurement capabilities by adding a CNC CMM. Most recently introduced a Quality Assurance Lab with equipment for tensile testing (mechanical properties testing), photo spectrometry (chemical composition analysis of alloys) and density testing (gas content). These capabilities supplement testing & inspection processes we already had in place. Show less
