Mike is an experienced manager and technologist who, importantly, really cares about how systems, processes and tech contribute to great culture and support people to do their best work.

I worked with Mike for almost 3 years at Sydney University from 2012-2014. During this time some of our responsibilities overlapped and we we worked closely together on a number of key projects. What struck me about MIke is that he had excellent soft skills (e.g. communication and interpersonal skills) as well as thorough IT technical knowledge and experience. This combination is often rare among IT professionals. One of the many fantastic projects that Mike initiated and saw through to completion was a high performance computing capability for the university. This involved dealing with a very large and diverse group of stakeholders with many challenging situations which Mike managed in his stride. Mike has the ability to digest the meaning of a digital strategy, identify the initiatives to achieve the strategic goals and see it through to practical implementation.
