      As a summer project coordinator with Wells Construction, I assisted the project superintendent on a residential road twinning in the Greater Edmonton Area. My Responsibilities included:-Supervising up to fifty sub-contractors and Wells employees on site.-Assisting project superintendent with the overall planning of the project regarding materials, man-power and scheduling.-Working with sub-contractors and our own construction crews to effectively resolve any issues or concerns that arose during work progress.-Measuring work quantities completed each month and submitted to prime consultant for progress payments. -Attending weekly meetings with customer's representatives and prime consultants to update status of project and address recent issues.-Engaging with all levels of employees.-Communicating and enforcing Lafarge Health and Safety Program by leading by example.-Conducting safety orientations with workers on site and attend Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings. -Performing quantity take offs from IFC drawings.-Ensuring our crews and sub-contractors performed work to specifications designed by prime consultant. In mid-July, I was moved to another project int the City of Edmonton. Duties included:-Scheduling a road rehabilitation project that involved both day and night work. Work hours were limited to certain hours of the day to avoid traffic delays.-Conducting safety orientations for several of our sub-contractors as well as our own crews. -Working with City of Edmonton inspector to insure city specifications were met. -Ordering and arranging for materials to be on site ready to be used so that there weren't any delays to the project. -Creating and submitting safety documentation and traffic accommodation plans to the City of Edmonton. -While overseeing the night work, I coordinated with day-time project coordinator to ensure work was proceeding as planned. When night work wasn't taking place, I oversaw day work on the project.
