  Kalyani Technoforge Limited (KTFL) is a part of the Kalyani Group, with Bharat Forge as the flagship company. KTFL specializes in forging high quality automotive parts. My internship was experiential and practical, for I gained a rich understanding for forging process. The placement was split into segments: business, forging, machining, finance, and a project. The structure of the internship allowed me to grasp a feel for all the branches that comprise the company. In doing so, I have a good understanding of how large manufacturing facilities operate. For my project, I chose to do it in “Die Life Improvement”. I evaluated a manufacturing plant’s (Mundhwa facility) current dies and the die life. The paper suggests improvements that can be made to improve the die life and save material wastage. Show less
