Deepti Kulkarni
Mika is one of the most intelligent, proactive and collaborative people that I have worked with. Working with her is an absolute pleasure as she brings in a great energy with her. She is a fast learner and doesn't hesitate to take on big tasks from the get go. We worked together on a complex research project and having her on the team made work so much easier and enjoyable. As a researcher, she has excellent moderation skills. She asks the right questions in the right way, while making the participants feel at ease. She is a keen observer, diligent at documentation and has great analytical skills. She will be a valuable addition to any company and I can't recommend her enough.
Michael Vogelpoel, PhD
I would strongly recommend Mika for early career roles in User / Design Research - she worked as both an intern and graduate UX Researcher at Atlassian, during which time she quickly scaled into a complex B2B product domain, often working across several streams of work. She was able to build effective partnerships with specialist quantitive researchers, and with partners in Product, and Design. Mika is a great presence in the team, uplifting others, and always willing to roll up her sleeves and help her team members whether it be with moderating sessions, sparring study plans/discussion guides, in analysis, or general project admin. She is able to communicate complex insight concisely, and encourage crafts who may be more removed from customers to better empathise with their needs, their pain points, and align them to HMWs or direct recommendations. Mika would be a valuable addition to any research team hoping to bring passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to team.
