HR Assistant

Apr 2019 - Dec 2019
As an HR Assistant, I've been taking care of hiring, payroll, benefits, termination, and many other tasks assigned by my management. My job requires skills such as good time management, prioritization, teamwork, and communication. Every day is a challenge and I really like it! It really helps me grow as a person and as an HR professional.

Recruitment Consultant
-
Jan 2018 - Mar 2019
As a recruitment consultant, I loved meeting new people, listened to their stories, and helped them find a new job that would improve their lives: financially and mentally. Everybody's life is different and they each need different assistance. Some people don't know how to write their first resume; some don't know what their possibilities are; some people's skills are very niche and hard to find a new opportunity. In order for me to offer the best assistance, I had to keep learning and improving my skills and knowledge. Fortunately, I had great managers and coworkers who supported me and let me try different things. Show less

I worked at Milbon USA only for three months due to family matters; however, I had very challenging yet amazing experience. I was an outside sales rep who was responsible for more than 100 hair salons. They provided great training and I was able to learn about their products and company thoroughly. I thought salespeople only cared about numbers but people at this company truly care about their clients and take care of them really well. They told me that I should not sell products rather I should sell consideration and care that craftspeople put into the products. What an amazing company. Show less

Production apprentice
-
Feb 2016 - May 2016
I obtained an opportunity to work as a production apprentice at The New 42nd Street. It was a semester-long apprenticeship and they have a really amazing program. What I love about this organization is that they value education and provide kid-friendly productions and pre- and post- workshops for kids. I attended some production and company meeting and I was amazed by everybody's professionalism and kindness. They all respect each other and are willing to support others. I wanted to stay if I was allowed. Show less

Intern
-
May 2015 - Aug 2015
I worked as an intern in the Performing Arts Department at Japan Society. I helped to translate Japanese scripts, documents, articles, and bibliographies into English. I also did some research on Japanese artists in Japanese and wrote a brief introduction paragraph in English for their brochure for next season. Even after my summer internship ended, I went back to the organization and did some volunteer work. I worked as an intern in the Performing Arts Department at Japan Society.
