Communications Manager
-
Dec 2022 - Present
As a Communications Manager with MJRC I primarly manage the social media accounts (LinkedIN, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) and oversee content development for the center's website. This means that I curate posts, I do a bit of editing, writing, and generally promote good news and good initiatives belonging to the center and to the experts associated with MJRC. The goal is to organically grow our network and collaborate proficiently with various partners and future friends. I also contribute to the newsletter that we publish quarterly on Substack. Quite often my work involves organizing workshops, meetings, seminars for which I either travel, take notes, and usually disseminate the results. I am also responsible for maintaining internal communication with our partners. It is a new role for me and I absolutely love it. Show less

I have been working with nature based solutions and research covering this field since 2017. Since then, I have substantally contributed to the identification and research of over 250 urban and peri-urban nature-based solutions to provide climate resilience, biodiversity conservation/restoration, capacity building, and societal benefits in various regions of the world such as Eastern Europe, South East Asia, Africa, and South America. The work has been collected in an interactive website, Urban Nature Atlas and has been featured in UNEP's Ecosystem Restoration Playbook, the British Academy, COP26 Nature Day, & on the Lund University’s massive open online course (MOOC): Urban Nature: Connecting Cities, Nature and Innovation. Furthermore, I have participated in assesing national mitigation and adaptation strategies for carbon emissions reduction in the EU and several Asian countries, under the guidance of ASEF – Overview of Climate Change Mitigation Efforts in ASEM Partner Countries With an Outlook on Circular Economy Transition. Led by Durham University, NATURVATION involves 14 institutions across Europe working in fields as diverse as urban development, innovation studies, geography, ecology, environmental assessment and economics. Our partnership includes city governments, non-governmental organisations and business. We will assess what nature-based solutions can achieve in cities, examine how innovation is taking place, and work with communities and stakeholders to develop the knowledge and tools required to realise the potential of nature-based solutions for meeting urban sustainability goals. The Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives (OSA) at Central European University (CEU) is a complex archival institution. OSA is both a repository of important collections, primarily related to the history of the Cold War and grave international human rights violations, and a laboratory of archival experiments on new ways of assessing, contextualizing, presenting, and making use of archival documents.OSA is a research institute dealing with archival, taxonomical, informational and historical problems related to its holdings, and also reflecting on the role, obligations, and limits (as well as on overcoming these) of repositories that preserve important historical sources.
