The Ops Officer is responsible for the effective and efficient execution of MILENG COE Battle Rhythm. He coordinates the Centre’s activities in support of its mission, directs staff tasks, ensures deadlines are met and maintains a permanent and direct contact with MILENG COE Branches. ICCW the staff, ACT and other stakeholders, prepares the Programme of Work of the MILENG COE for the following year, and presents it to the Steering Committee for approval. This job as Battle Captain in the G3/Current Ops Branch gave me some good insight about NATO and the different Command Posts. Going through the preparation an evaluation of different HQ roles, ranging from the higher tactical level (OSPCEN/CORPS) to the Operational level (CJOC-JTF).Along with the Deputy Chief of the OPSCEN, I was an experienced user and in some cases maintainer of the main Functional Area Services used there, such as:- NCOP- JOCWATCH (Certified user & maintainer).- JCHAT- RGP and COP national systems.I was also responsible for the preparation of the layouts and CIS matrixes of the OPSCEN/CJOC for every deployment we had during exercises.
