Maggie Harding

We hired Miguel for various photoshoots for lawyers. His creative flair, patience and easy manner produced very relaxed and natural portraits. I would recommend his services, particularly to professional service firms.

I spent one year living and working in The Jungle refugee camp in Calais. Following my time there I wrote Voices of the Jungle as a response to the blanket coverage shown across the mainstream media. It is a compilation of stories that narrates life in The Jungle of Calais; one of the only places in the world that was completely governed by anarchy and invisible rules dictated by human common sense. Through images and text it tells the real life stories of the refugees, their hopes, their fears, their madness and above all their stories of continued dignity during great adversity. Show less

'Welcome to Our Jungle' is a participatory photography project by the people of the Calais refugee camp, known as the 'Jungle'. The project gives a voice to those directly effected by the crisis, as an important alternative narrative to the mis-representation in the mainstream press.
