      Worked on a Aeronautical Message Handling System (AMHS). Written in plain C and running on a Linux server, this application is used for aeronautical ground-to-ground communications (e.g., Flight Plans etc.) using the X.400 standard. In simplified terms, it is the email of the aviation world. Work done on this project include numerous bug fixes, implementation of feature requests, and helping with the redesign of legacy components of the system.

      Worked within Mitel's digital signal processing group for their line of VoIP phones. Tested and analyzed the dsp/audio related performance of the phones (e.g., double-talk performance, echo cancellation in hands-free mode, etc.).Developed a suite of automated tests in Python to automate the above. For example, one test would automatically set up calls between phones, play sounds files from a set of speakers, and analyze the resulting signals for echo leakage.
