A few years later Miguel became part of the Department of Energy Conversion and Delivery at USB, where he taught undergraduate and graduate courses on power systems analysis, high voltage technology, electromagnetic transients, and grounding systems. There he also conducted numerous laboratory tests, applied research projects, and training programs for practicing engineers and technicians, in addition to providing consulting services for the Venezuelan industry and working as Coordinator of Electrical Engineering Studies.
