As Production Engineer I handled the daily management of oil and gas production operations of two batteries with more than 40 wells associated, with Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP), Beam Pump, Artificial Gas Lift and natural flow as production methods, monitoring production data thought SCADA systems and elaborating successful strategies in order to meet production objectives, considering energy consumption, gas volume delivered to third parties, deferred production (planned and unplanned), infrastructure capacity for production management, budget guidelines and market conditions. I also worked on the well completion design and diagnosis of artificial lift systems, and elaborated minor well jobs recommendations to restore production, interfacing with working interest partners and service companies. • Field Engineer Trainee
      • Jun 2012 - Jan 2013

The first stage of my career as an employee at PDVSA was crucial, during six months I attended the new employee training program, having the opportunity to be involved in the main activities of the Oil & Gas Industry Business, having interaction with the different departments such as: Exploration, Drilling, Workover and Production, receiving knowledge of all the disciplines related. During this brief but very important time I was able to acquire the basic knowledge participating actively in field operations as drilling, logging, completion and core recovery which also showed me how important safety is in the Industry. • Well Engineer Trainee
      • Dec 2010 - Sep 2011

As an Intern Student in the Well Engineering Department, I support Drilling Engineers in every stage of a well design that involves casing design, setting depths, calculating pressure profiles and the optimum mud weight for every section. I also contribute with mud and directional programs and specifying equipments and materials to be used in the drilling process. Then, as a Thesis Student, the company presented me the problem they were having in drilling cretaceous wells. They were experimenting severe loss circulation when drilling cretaceous section, because they have to drill a set of formations in one section that presents an abnormal pressure profile because of a depleted zone, so I developed a research in order to evaluate the technical feasibility of liner drilling. The main characteristic of the system consists of the ability to drill and case the hole simultaneously, protecting it and allowing to drill through problematic zones. The work methodology consisted in evaluating world experiences of the system to know the technology applications, then a proposal of the system for the well case of study was made, and finally, the hydraulic, torque and drag programs were evaluated for both systems to establish a comparison.
