● Reporting directly to the Global Procurement Vice-President in the USA and interfacing with 5 Global Directors for each Commodity (Exteriors, Interiors, Chassis, Electricals, Powertrain). Leadership of a team with 135 people in the region, ● Responsible for purchasing local automotive parts for all regional operations (5 plants), strategy development in negotiating prices, cost reduction, local supply-base development to produce parts with quality and costs that accompany market competitiveness.● Management of the supply selection process and negotiating prices for parts that support new launches in the region. Supplier-base administration in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Europe, India, China, South Africa, Thailand and North America.● Development and implementation of plans to improve production-material competitiveness (representing 65% to 70% of total vehicle cost) through indicators for year-to-year cost reduction attending the Company Business Plan.MAIN PROJECTS AND RESULTS:● Creation and implementation of a new price-readjustment process for regional suppliers (adjustment timing), which brought more execution planning and efficiency and 6% cost reduction in the total price of materials that make up the vehicles (over BRL 1,100 million in 2019). This methodology met with excellent supply-base acceptance in Brazil as well as in Argentina, reinforcing commitment to transparency and good relations in the region.● In 2020, during the pandemic, efficiency projection in vehicle-material cost reached 3.8% or US$ 94 million or BRL 526 million.● Price negotiation strategy for commodities (tires) in Dual Sourcing and with better price offerings for the production period, reduced prices by 5% to 7% per year, becoming a Benchmark in other markets including North America.● Structural Efficiency – over 70% reduction in department people structure.
