Coordinating all techno economical evaluation and internal approvals as well as managing Legal, Tax and Finance aspects of the Contracts together with the specialists from Madrid. Help with the reorganization of Operating Company Zhambai LLP. .Other activities during this period include:• Signature of the first MOU with KazMunaiGaz in the Country (2003) in order to complete evaluation and negotiations for Darkhan and Amangeldy projects. Projects finally not signed due to tax regime changes beginning 2004 affecting negatively the economics.• Final negotiations, technical reports and legal considerations for relinquishment of projects KurDashi in Azerbaijan and Baiganinsk in Kazakhstan.• Complete regional study in North Caspian region and reservoir modeling in Emba area for KazMunaigaz E&P. • Look for new regional opportunities (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan) and consolidate activity in Kazakhstan, using excellent relations with Government, Ministry and KMG officials. Repsol representative in Joint Venture Company ROO, responsible for Exploration, Development and Production operations in Murzuk basin for consortium NOC, Repsol, OMV and Total. In charge of the development of the most important project of a Mediterranean Basin in the years 1996 – 2000.Managing an organization of 200 employees and annual budget of 30 to 60 million dollars in a project with Capex equivalent to 1.3 billion dollars for original reserves estimates of 750 millions barrels, figure that after completion of exploration studies and new discoveries went up in the order of 900 million barrels.The activities in this period include:• Complete commissioning and establish Operations for three satellite in the Libyan Sahara dessert (Murzuk). Starting from pilot production (30,000 bopd) to maximum production allowed (180,000 bopd).• Coordinate Exploration activity within concession, completing studies in H field and discovering C and E annex field. Additionally support operationally REMSA in all exploration activity, which lead to new discoveries in nearby concession.• Start and complete the Water Injection Project, expansion of Tank Farm in Mediterranean cost (Zawia) and completes Telecom fibber optic system from Tripoli to Sahara operation.• Create HSE organization and obtain certification ISO 14000.• Establish routine monthly Transport and Commercialization of crude, delivering to local refinery and pumping to cargos in Mediterranean see for European Markets.
