- Manage Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure that all balance sheet items are accurate and valid and consistent with accounting policies for the group. - Maintaining records of recurring costs, preparation of the accruals and prepayments, including the preparation of month end journals meeting very strict deadlines, with detailed commentary analysis and cost release recommendations to keep in line with Group EBITDA targets. - Responsible for pulling together budgets by cost centre and submitting these to the group’s budget adding the actuals in the month to allow comparisons. - Assistance with entity Revenue analysis with the preparation of the revenue reconciliation in a monthly basis, commenting in any variance with previous month. - Prepare payroll journal entries by cost centre and reconciled payroll accounts. - Reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Register with additions, disposals, and depreciation using IFRS 16 Accounting. - Preparation of the 2016 and 2017 Statutory Accounts using FRS 101 Accounting. - Liaison with auditors. - Responsible for managing year-end audit and tax pack requirements to meet Group Finance requirements. - Quarterly preparation, review and submission of VAT returns, including discussion with the Tax manager, submission of the Intrastat and EC Sales, as well as to assist with annual Corporation Tax returns. - Cash management and banks account control; reconciliation of data with primary sources to ensure that it is complete and accurate, management of all intercompany and multicurrency transactions with group partners. - Communicate findings to senior management and recommend improvements to processes and reporting. - Continually building relationships with other finance (Billing, Credit Collection and AP) and non-finance stakeholders to solve problems efficiently. - To assist in ad hoc tasks as directed by Financial Controller.
