I am pleased to recommend Mr. MIGUEL PETERS, who in my opinion is an outstanding candidate for the Yale Greenberg World Fellowship. Mr. Miguel Peters has worked with many great minds across African due to his ability and willingness to work on varying topics. I have known Miguel Peters for almost two years now and we have worked closely on many issues affecting Africa stemming from movie making to environmental projects. He is passionate about work and a result driven person. Mr. Miguel Peters is an innovative thinker and has the ability to adapt to different cultural environments with a strong drive to successfully achieve his objectives. He is not only an excellent colleague but a leader and role model for young people. I came in contact with Mr. Miguel Peters during the Young African Leadership Initiative training and I was attracted by his Zeal and enthusiasm towards working with results. Since then, we have worked on several projects in which I have been pleased with the outcomes. Mr. Miguel Peters is a disciplined, mature person with a highly methodical approach to his duties. He is always prepared for whatever project he is meant to work on. While possessing strong views on topics dear to him, he is willing to entertain opposing views and moderate his if a convincing counter argument is made. He is a great team leader and to me, he is the new generation of talented young leaders who are playing an important rule for setting the future course of taking responsibility where need be. He is also an excellent communicator with a good academic background. An opportunity to participate in the Yale Greenberg World Fellowship will help him to further spread his wings professionally and contribute more in a meaningful way to both the fellowship and in his works. He will be a great asset to the Fellowship. I therefore recommend Mr. Miguel Peters for the fellowship in very high terms without reservation. It is my greatest pleasure to write this recommendation letter for Mr. Miguel Peters. I have known Miguel for more than a year now. We first met during the Young African Leaders Fellowship in Nigeria and has ever since been a close colleague working hand in hand with me in different capacities to make the world a better place. Miguel has always shown a strong motivation in working on environment and climate crisis and I am aware of his current work on numerous projects in both East and West Africa. Currently, he is working with a team of young professionals here in my country (The Gambia) in implementing some projects to promote awareness and take actions to protect our environment. I have worked with a lot of young professional and bright minds, but Miguel’s enthusiasm and problem-solving skills stands out among many. I have always been impressed with his ability to work creatively under pressure and his ethical driven spirit. My first work experience with Miguel came along when we shot a short film on Female Genital Mutilation some time in February 2018. He was the director of the film and worked tirelessly under many hard circumstances to make the film a success. The film was aimed at sensitizing the public about the factors and effects of FGM. Miguel is also a great team leader in addition to his notable work ethos. He is always willing to help other colleagues including myself in reaching our goals. With his sound academic background, affable personality, excellent communication skills, and strong will to succeed, I am sure Miguel will prove to be an asset to your renowned fellowship. It is therefore, with my highest personal and professional responsibility, and without reservation that I support his fellowship application. Should you need any further information or clarifications, do not hesitate to contact me on isatubokum11@gmail.com or +2203193850. Sincerely Yours, Isatu M. Bokum CEO/Founder Girls Talk Show/Org
