SJ is an enthusiastic and capable teacher of music. In his classes children are engaged in lively and creative ways, listening, observing, collaborating, creating and reflecting. He strikes the balance between developing music specific skills, supporting children to have appreciation for a range of music and inspiring them to explore their own musical interests. Despite teaching a large number of children, he knows his students well and is able to show evidence of learning growth when this is asked for. More than this, he has a great rapport with children, they simply just love his classes and are enthusiastic to interact with him at other times. SJ is a kind and supportive colleague who works well with his team, always encouraging, and generous with resources and ideas. With the transdisciplinary nature of the PYP, SJ makes relevant connections to classroom learning without detracting from the integral music specific learning. I have seen SJ been a capable leader while working on performance, developing skills and awareness in his team, providing teacher PD, developing written curriculum, and suggesting initiatives. I can recommend SJ for a music position in any school and wish hm luck in finding one which deserves his talents and commitment.

Satyajeet fondly known as ‘SJ’ has been a wonderful colleague to work alongside, as a Music Teacher as well as a Grade Level Leader. SJ is passionate about learning through inquiry and has consistently used his skills to provide students with an opportunity to question, explore and incorporate thinking routines in music class to make their thinking visible. SJ has ensured to share his best practices within the school community by setting up a YouTube channel and adding to it from time to time with lessons he has conducted in the classroom as well as with resources . He has gone above and beyond to share his practices with the larger teaching community through the ‘toddle platform’ by leading sessions. His musical notes and melodious voice have found their way to our grade level meeting celebrations as well as well-being activities in the school. SJ’s use of technology is very visible in classroom and as a tech integrator he has always been available to troubleshoot issues faced by colleagues. His well planned and reflective approach to situations makes him a good leader. I wish SJ the very best for all his future endeavours as a budding musician, teacher and leader.

As an educator, I am deeply committed to exploring new and innovative ways to incorporate technology into the classroom. As a leader and speaker, I have had the opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise with others in the field. I have also spoken at the OIS EDTech Conference on Music Technology, highlighting the ways in which technology can be used to support music education in the 21st century. Additionally, I have conducted teacher sessions on Managebac, Seesaw, and school cloud, helping to troubleshoot and facilitate tech sessions for other educators. Through these initiatives, I have sought to empower teachers to leverage technology to enhance their teaching practices and support student learning in new and exciting ways. Overall, my approach to technology integration is grounded in the belief that technology can be a powerful tool for promoting student engagement, creativity, and learning. I am dedicated to helping educators unlock their full potential in the classroom. Show less
