As a Publication Services Manager, I manage the day to day procedures and progress of multiple publishing products for our visitor publications and national magazines owned by Morris Media. These products range in variety from magazines, books, maps and guides, which are displayed in approximately 53 US cities and 6 countries. I work with my Production Coordinator to set up the work flow and establish new procedures to adapt with new equipment, software, products and our ever-changing media. I work with a team of designers, who I assign, to create and process advertising material and editorial layouts for approximately 22 publications each month. I am the point of contact and mediator for publishers, ad traffickers, circulation managers, designers, editors and print vendors for each of my markets. Communication is an ongoing process from beginning to end throughout the entire process of each publication from the develop of the pagination, distribution of it to the artists and markets, to the overall finished product loaded to the printer. I keep everyone on track.

    • Senior Graphic Designer
      • Jun 2008 - Jun 2010

I managed the advertising design and editorial layout of assigned publications. Once I was assigned to a market I was in charge of gathering the information, artwork and photo retouching to generate various quality and appealing layouts. I communicated with and established trusting relationships with my markets, providing new concepts for salespeople to entice and maintain their clients satisfaction with the printed product. I used my experience and skills to allow me to multitask and efficiently produced several publications at once and on deadline. As a senior graphic designer, I also trained and established any new graphic designer on procedures and the design aspics of the company.

I successfully lead, built, managed, and trouble shot advertisements for the Classified department at the Augusta Chronicle, one of the highest revenue generating Design Teams within the CSRA newspaper. I was in charge of training new artists for both newspaper and the real estate magazines (Today’s Home & Meybohm Magazines). I held a “Team Leader” position, as I was responsible for organizing the workflow and schedules of the artists. I was the go-to person for the day-to-day issues that could occur with ads or software in order to hit print deadlines. I established a good working relationship with other artist on different teams to lend a hand when called upon.
