Michu and her team joined findhelp (previously Aunt Bertha) at a critical time for the company, where we were taking the leap from start-up to rapidly scaling small business. She was tasked with an intimidating goal, to rebrand our company and expand our MAU. First and foremost -- I'd like to applaud Michu for her ability to integrate seamlessly into a new and unfamiliar company. Even a few days in, I felt like Michu was a part of my own team and appreciated her ability to gain trust quickly with our executive team to advocate for change. In my opinion, that is a skill that cannot be taught. Additionally, she has the ability to identify a large problem, put together a solid business case, and break it down into a digestible scope that yields strategic and impactful results. In her six month tenure at findhelp, she transformed our Marketing team from a team of two into a strong, well-organized team, rebranded our company (with glowing feedback from customers and users), and increased the MAU of our free public site (findhelp.org) by 38% -- meaning more people in need were connected with goods and services. As a project manager myself, the most stressful part of a project can be closing it down and passing it off to a newly responsible team to handle. Michu did that with grace, by preparing our teams with documentation, process, and project plans to set everyone up for success. It was a pleasure to work with Michu, and she is missed; however, her strategic impact will be long-lasting at findhelp and we are all grateful to her for it!

I had the opportunity to work closely with Michu and her very talented team for several months in 2021 as they crafted and executed an ambitious effort to build out a new marketing strategy and ultimately a name change for our company. Michu is a dynamic leader who motivates excellent outcomes. It was a true pleasure working and learning from her. I have recommended her to others looking to take their brand to the next level and hope our professional paths cross again!

Michu is one those rare business people who are equal parts strategic and creative. She produces exceptionally beautiful and thoughtful work on behalf of her clients and is constantly looking for ways to bring new ideas to the world. I've had the pleasure of witnessing her ability to manage and motivate creative teams literally around the world, helping guide their best work. I've also been continually impressed by her community centered-ness, both in Austin (with Fusebox and Boss Babes) and globally. For my column on urban creativity for Metropolis Magazine, she has suggested and facilitated some of my most interesting conversations in the series through her network of artists, researchers, activists and academics. I would highly recommend her and the work of In-House International for anyone looking for services across the design spectrum.
