      I started my career in shipping at Active Containers. The business was soon purchased by Owens Container Services, and rebranded to Melbourne Container Park. My initial administration role changed slightly to become the Administration Supervisor where I managed the office and supported our clients on a daily basis while working with our small IT team to develop a new container tracking system and mobile estimating system. I then transferred across to the IT Department full time, managing the help desk for nearly 10 years. As the Administration Supervisor, my main function was to look after all of our clients' needs in regard to reporting, accounts, events and general enquiries. I also managed accounts receivable for two other container yards in Australia. When I moved across to the IT Department, I looked after the small but very busy IT office and provided immediate technical support to our container yards dotted around Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. I absolutely loved this job but the business was sold to GeSeaco and soon after, I was made redundant when the department was moved to GeSeaco's office in Singapore. Show less
