I really enjoyed Michelle's insights during her Wellness paradigm training. All of my colleagues and myself personally truly benefited from her guidance as we seek to remain healthy and present to support our clients in employment and career development. Keep up the good work.

After a mass-layoff at Canopy Growth, I had the opportunity to work with Michelle for career advice. Finding myself at a career crossroads, she renewed my drive and confidence to pursue success. Through 1-on-1 coaching, she helped me further develop my career interests and reflect on personal strengths. Michelle also shared her expertise in helping me recreate a very presentable LinkedIn profile, and offered excellent tips on how to best utilize LinkedIn for networking purposes. Most importantly, it is evident that Michelle is passionate about her work and helping others, like myself. Michelle was a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend Michelle for her expertise in career coaching, and networking.

I had the pleasure of being one of Michelle's clients over the past couple of months. Working with Michelle on my resume and LinkedIn profile was rewarding in all aspects. She listens carefully to her clients, understands their needs very well and then tailors a plan accordingly. Michelle is very meticulous in her work, very prompt and responsive and never fails to deliver on her promises. She never misses the timelines that she commits herself to in the beginning and quite often precedes such timelines. She sets very high ethical standards for herself in all her transactions with her clients. The net result of all this is that the work delivered at the end is quite outstanding. I will definitely love to work with Michelle again should I need the guidance of a career coach in the future and would strongly recommend her for anyone who is considering seeking the services of a career coach

My teachings come from a place of compassion and empathy. Commitment to yoga requires practice. It is not uncommon for me to close a practice with "The hardest part about yoga is simply getting here". That deserves acknowledgement. Providing opportunities to slow down and counter the 'busy-ness' of the outside world is important to me and my offerings. Each asana (posture) has purpose but mostly the practice I offer is intended to appreciate mindful movements, and to notice, sense and feel all that comes.I teach Yin, Hatha and a Yoga with Baby class that brings smiles to all those who attend.

NAV CANADA co-ordinates the safe and efficient movement of aircraft in Canadian domestic airspace and international airspace assigned to Canadian control. Through its coast to coast to coast operations, NAV CANADA provides air traffic control, flight information, weather briefings, aeronautical information, airport advisory services, and electronic aids to navigation. As NAV CANADA’s Manager, Student Recruitment & Selection, I was accountable for sourcing a steady stream of qualified candidates that enter air traffic controller and flight service specialist training programs with NAV CANADA’s Operations group. This position included the oversight of the student selection process, validation and evaluation of the current recruitment and selection program and creating mechanisms to measure and monitor student progression through the training process. I also provided recommendations for program improvements based on analysis of training success factors and obstacles to success.A key accomplishment was the implementation of a student compensation program. This program removed all testing and tuition requirements, plus paid a bi-weekly salary to those in training to become air traffic controllers and flight service specialists. There has been a seen increase in those seeking employment to become air traffic controllers and flight service specialists due to the implementation of this program.I also the led the creation and implementation of the inaugural Air Traffic Services (ATS) Employee Referral Program. This program allows NAV CANADA employees to refer candidates into air traffic control or flight services training programs. The recruitment program includes a standardized application process, aptitude testing, interview questions and reference checks. The realized effects of this program include a significant increase in high quality candidates waiting for testing; a reduction in the time required to process a candidate and an increase in employee engagement.

    • Human Resources Advisor
      • Aug 2007 - Feb 2015

As NAV CANADA's Human Resources Advisor in the Winnipeg Flight Information Region (FIR), I was responsible for assisting with and administering a range of human resource programs and services including : recruitment & retention programs, employee and labour relations initiatives, employee orientation sessions, attendance management initiatives, performance issues, employee relations and human resource planning. I was also responsible for responding to local management, union and employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures. A key accomplishment was the development of a nation-wide recruitment program for the Technical Operations team. This program standardized the recruitment of Electronic Technologists for all NAV CANADA sites across Canada. The program included the use of uniformed psychometric testing, pre-screening and in-person interview questions and a revised reference check process. Prior to the launch of the program, I co-facilitated a three-day training program for all Technical Operations hiring managers including a mock interview component using local university students.
