Ms. Vaakil has been with EGL for over 20 years, and is currently responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Los Angeles-based company. Under her direct supervision, she coordinates the efforts of the property supervisors and maintenance staff, as well as resident managers and bookkeeping. Currently, Michelle’s primary responsibility is to interface and report directly to clients and ensure that their properties are maintained at the highest possible standard. She is a licensed broker with the California Dept. of Real Estate.

As a property manager, Michelle worked on both the commercial and residential sides, managing properties, overseeing the operations of the building, interacting with tenants, leasing units, maintaining the properties, reviewing the financials and preparing the budget. Her specialty was helping start-up properties (setting up offices, hiring, lease auditing, etc.) after purchase or prior to sale.
