I've worked with Michelle on two separate occasions - at the Arizona Animal Welfare League and also at the Arizona Science Center. Both times I very was impressed with Michelle's ability to create new programs that were successful and helped to further the mission of the organization. Michelle's energy and creativity are a huge asset to the AAWL education department.

Michelle is a terrific asset to any team with which she works. She has excellent organization and planning skills. She is able to maintain the big picture, while attending to the details. She is personable, kind and compassionate. She is also determined and persistent. She works well with others as a team member and a team lead. It was a pleasure working with Michelle.

In the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, APHE was first known as the Western Humane Educators Association, with the name changed slightly in the 1980s, so that it became the Western Humane and Environmental Educators Association (WHEEA).
