    • Release Train Engineer
      • Jun 2016 - Oct 2018

I’m truly excited at this role change at AGL and look forward to applying and utilising my SAFe and Agile learnings in practice. The AGL Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a scaled agile role that keeps the Digital Scrum Teams and other individuals on track. Think scaled or uber-scrum master and you get the idea. Steering the Agile Release Train (ART) is the main responsibility of the role and includes lots of facilitation across the program of work, managing risk and escalating impediments as well helping to drive continuous program-level improvement. As a servant-leader to the development teams my primary management objective is to support the needs of the teams, the program and the portfolio and to ensure the train continues to deliver incremental business value to AGL customers. I lead subject matter experts to resolve project challenges, and remove obstacles and impediments to ensure AGL's business and operational objectives are met. Key to the role is communication; both externally to business stakeholders and executive/ senior management through improving the visibility of delivery relating to program objectives. And internally to the people on the train through the alignment initiatives back to business context. Show less
