February 2001 Pre press operator - Production department August 2001 Creative Designer - Creative Department February 2007 Editorial Design Coordinator - Editorial Department Roles and responsibilities:• Worked closely within a team of designers, copywriters, photographers, editors and liaised extensively with sales representatives and managers. • Played a major role in the visual development of new publications including the conception and design of the ‘Western Suburbs Weekly’ Newspaper which then, after it’s first year, won Best Non-Daily Newspaper in the PANPA (Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers’ Association) Awards. • During the process of the re branding of the company, I worked closely with the different branches to develop and design new signage for the offices, both on the outside of the buildings and within required for upgrades and refurbishments. • Having 17 different publications I learned very early on to work independently and within a group under stress in order to meet tight deadlines and production schedules and at the same time producing a high-quality composition.• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills are necessary to work well in a busy creative environment. In March 2008 I was nominated for and selected to win the ‘Bright Peoples Award for Innovation’.• Multi-tasking: often worked on more than one design brief at a time.
