Michelle is a force of nature who brings focused energy and passion to everything she does. I appreciated her positive outlook while working alongside her on department-level initiatives and I had full confidence that she and her team would always deliver on executing brand strategy at consumer engagements. She's a great teammate and leader that I would love the opportunity to work with again.

I had the distinct privilege of working with Michelle for 14+ years. For the first six of those years we worked together creating programs that are some of the most unique marketing tools in the CPG world and in large part due to her vision and creativity. Her brilliance in understanding how to bring together people and marketing programs to build on sales is unrivaled. Michelle's attention to detail is spectacular and her people skills are extraordinary. Michelle's sassy sense of humor make her an absolute joy to be around both personally and professionally. I would welcome the opportunity to work with her again. She's one of a kind and any organization would be lucky to have her.

    • Farmers In Marketing Manager
      • Mar 2004 - Jan 2019

I manage the Farmers In Marketing Team at Organic Valley, a farmer-owned cooperative of over 2,000 organic farmers in 35 states and 900+ employees. With a focus on Outreach and Education, Farmers In Marketing (FIM) is comprised of several programs: the Farmer Ambassador Program; the Farm Discovery Program (Educational Farm Tours), farmer-initiated 'Own Your Community' programs; and Farmer Asset coordination and development (video, photos, bios). The Farmer Ambassador Program's goal is to identify, recruit and train co-op farmers to participate as authentic brand ambassadors in marketing events (consumer, trade), PR/Media interviews, farm tours and public speaking to retailers nationwide. I was hired to build the Farmer Ambassador piece of this program from the ground up in 2004 and it has grown from a handful of farmers doing 40 some events to over 550 farmers participating in 500+ activities each year. We are constantly innovating and strategically diversifying the ways in which we connect our farmers (and our brand) to consumers. The 'Own Your Community' Farmer Event support program encourages and supports our farmers' participation in local and community events, a quarterly farmer coupon program as well as a "Consumers to Farms" program to build relationships on a regional level working with other like-minded organizations and their events.Farmers In Marketing successfully plans and implements over 40 educational farm tours for retail customers, mission-aligned partners and organizations and consumers. The FIM Team also leads efforts on obtaining farmer assets - bios, photos, and videos to support promo materials, advertising, packaging, brand and social media campaigns.I lead a team of nine professionals -they rock! I love working for a farmer-owned cooperative intent on Bringing the Good - to your table with our delicious products from family farmers who care for the land and their animals.
