Conducted a range of feasibility and environmental impact assessments of major transport corridors and systems, including: the Tugun Bypass, Gold Coast light rail, the Gold Coast’s TransLink Network Plan, park and ride options for Brisbane’s south east corridor, public transport and pedestrian access improvements in Fortitude Valley, the Robina to Tugun rail extension, public transport in Ipswich, the proposed Western Sydney busway network, and a fast ferry service from Sydney to Gosford. Used data analysis techniques to inform transport planning and policy decisions, including: o Geographic information systems, including spatial analysis of transport, demographic, social and crash data o Traffic modelling including micro-simulation, network models (e.g. EMME/2) and intersection analysis to inform the design of motorways, toll-roads, public transport networks and traffic intersections. Helped develop transport plans for special sporting events including the 2001 Goodwill Games Traffic Management Plan and the 2000 Olympic events in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Designed traffic management and access plans for a range of developments, including: central business districts, new subdivisions, hospitals, defence facilities, an ambulance station, a university, bridge, and shopping mall.
