I have tutored the children (age three, seven and eight) for the past 4 years. I prepare and do homework with them, plan creative activities and allow for incidental learning through play. Travelled and worked with the children on academic activities whilst we were away. Researched 7+, 8+, 11+ and 13+ for the families consulting company. Assisted the owner in the running of the school. I ensured staff followed the EYFS, and that planning and observations were completed. I dealt with enquires and emails on a daily basis, organised events for staff professional development, arranged special events within the school and with parents. I showed prospective parents around, discussed fees and any queries they may have had. I interviewed new staff and conducted one to ones, reviews and supervision with all my staff (24). I was also very involved with the children and absolutely love doing activities with them, teaching phonics and doing circle time. We partnered with the church to launch a SEND playgroup where I organised the academic/activity side to the sessions along with another colleague.

Taught Class 1 at an Independent school in Clapham, working within a team of four planning our lessons together. I was the co-ordinator for PSHE and Religious Studies at the school and headed Geography, Gifted and Talented and SEND for Reception and Year 1. I was also involved in extracurricular activities (golf) and participated in all aspects of the school. I mentored a student in her first year of studying.I then taught Class 2, for two years, and was the coordinator of Geography and the head of the school travel plan. I was also responsible for the twelve assistants at the school where I had to run safeguard training, induction and continual support throughout the year. Also mentored another student in her final year of her teaching degree. I was also the representative and organiser for our partner school in Ethiopia which I helped open in 2014. This was an amazing experience and an honour to be involved in. I was involved in fundraising, organising a festive Ethiopian day where I arranged for African drummers to perform and teach the children, they ate traditional food, the participated in a coffee ceremony and planned a rotation of activities across the year groups. The children and staff all dressed up.

Supply teaching through an agency Teaching Personnel, and was employed on a long term, full time supply position at King Athelstan Primary School in Kingston, as the reception teacher was off ill. I took on all the responsibilities of the teacher including attending cluster meetings, phase meetings, planning and preparing my own lessons and dealing with children who came from a variety of backgrounds. I did observations and assessments for the spring term. Some of the children were SEND and most of them did not have English as their first language. Through the same agency, I took a permanent position at Joseph Hood Primary, as the reception teacher was on maternity leave. I took on all responsibilities of the teacher such as cluster meetings, phase meetings, planning and preparing my own lessons. I did the observations and assessments for the term. Some of the children have SEND and most of them have English as an Additional Language (EAL).
