In my final role at the court from 2007 I managed the Circuit judges support section at first on a trial basis then made permanent.The job role consisted of the following:Managing a team of 16 people, within my team were 12 court clerks, 2 ushers, a receptionist, a boxwork clerk and a transcript clerk. On a day to day basis I had to manage their attendance, carry out daily Team Information Board meetings, quality check their work and carry out quarterly assessments.Keeping the work within 5 days, making sure that any urgent items of work were sent out within 48 hours of it arriving on the section.Gathering figures based on the weekly ingoing and outgoing work and then getting these figure to the senior management team by the given deadline.Collating the court utilisation statistics on a monthly basis and getting them to headquarters by the given deadline.Dealing with any customer complaints and organising compensation payouts if needed. Dealing with any special request from Judges. Dealing with any problems and preventing potential problemsMy key achievements whilst within this role is as follows:Getting the work on the section down to a 3 day turnaround and any urgent work being sent out within 24 hours. Dealing with customer complaints within 48 hours Arranging and implementing a training program for all 16 members of my team.Completing a 7 month management course. Changing the work,transcripts and boxwork systems to run more efficiently by installing LEAN practices. In this role I had to make sure that each case in taped and logged, I managed the judges diary, arranged any travel if they needed to be at another court, typed up any orders that were made and helped the public with any general questions that they may have had, at times when my court wasn’t sitting I would assist the section manger with customer service issues such as complaints or request for transcripts.
