I have known Michelle as a colleague and friend for almost 10 years. I have always known her to be knowledgeable about communications and professional in her implementation of a vast array of communications including; media relations, crisis communications, social media, web, and print. I have been impressed with her dedication to her coworkers and community in keeping them informed and educated about emergency services and safety. She has a broad range of skills and is innovative, creative and collaborative. One example that I can point to is her development and production of her agency’s website. She worked tirelessly in making sure that the outcome served the needs of the department and the community. In addition, when the department downsized her division, she was innovative in coming up with solutions to ensure the agency was represented 24/365. I have often called on Michelle when faced with a problem and found her to be a valuable source of ideas and solutions.

Michelle is an exceptional communications professional that has the ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Her organizational skills and attention to detail has led to a history of successful community events, persuasive marketing tools, and effective media relations interactions. I have worked with Michelle for multiple years on a Board of Directors for a professional association and found her to be extremely responsible, proactive and creative. Michelle is very well-respected within the emergency services public information officer field. She is seen as a veteran of this industry and a resource for others for technical advice.
