Working with adolescents on the Autism Spectrum. Our program has a strong focus on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our students by supporting them in the development of communication and social skills, emotional regulation through self awareness, life-skills and an integrated curriculum. Students participate in daily exercise program which includes a weekly Yoga session with a qualified Yoga instructor, a weekly ART session with a specialist art teacher, a personal development program which supports students to explore their strengths and promotes positive strategies students can use to assist in working through their personal challenges. An integrated curriculum allows for literacy and numeracy to be woven into all aspects of student learning and for moments of explicit teaching as a situation arises. Show less
