My main role here is to deliver psychological services to out-patients, in-patients and staff of Sunway Group. My day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patients' cognitive, emotional and/or adaptive functioning and their needs. This is typically done through collateral interviews, mental health status examinations, behavioral observation and/or psychological assessment tools. I then formulate case conceptualization on patient(s)' condition(s). Psychoeducation, recommendations and/or assessment reports are provided to patient(s) and/or their parent(s)/ guardian(s) regarding their condition(s). Whilst I work comfortably with patients of all ages, I have a special interest in children and adolescents. Following the completion of my Master's degree, I joined Oasis Place, a multidisciplinary intervention center, for a period of 3 years. In this capacity, I worked closely with parents, school teachers, and other professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, pediatricians, and psychiatrists. While primarily focusing on providing support to children with special needs and/or learning difficulties, I also extended her expertise to work with young and working adults, addressing their mental health concerns through psychotherapy. While at Oasis Place, I played a key role in co-developing the annual "Oasis Place's Kindness Matters" Program, which celebrates World Mental Health Day. Additionally, I served as the team lead for "Neurodiversity @ Work," collaborating closely with international corporations to assist them in establishing inclusive workplace frameworks that embrace neurodiverse professionals.
