  As an Accounting Intern at a CPA firm, I am learning skills related to both tax and audit. Related to the tax side, these skills include completing forms such as, 1099s, quarterly payroll, individual, partnership, corporation, and personal property returns. Regarding auditing, I am learning how to complete monthly and annual compilations as well as review and audit workpapers and how to draft financial statements and management letters. Throughout this internship, I am sitting in on client meetings to become comfortable with client interactions and to observe the professional relationship as well as how to conduct a meeting. Each time I come into work, I continue to learn how to complete more tasks and conduct myself in a professional manner.

When needed, I resolve customer complaints and I strive to go the 'second-mile' in my service. Following a closing shift, I must ensure that the drawers balance and count the safe. I also enjoy training employees in areas such as: communication, customer service, and widening their skill base. Each day I learn more about how to manage a business, how to grow as a leader, and how to make decisions under pressure.
