Bio
Marielis Zambrano
During my time in graduate school at NC State Michele was the recruiter coordinator for the Forest Biomaterials graduate program. When, Michele joined NC State, she adapted very fast to the role and provided support to all graduate students. I had the chance to collaborate with her in several events and she always had a positive attitude and was always willing to help on everything needed. She organized very well the events for graduate student recruitment and provided the future students with a complete perspective directly from the current students and professors. She is very energetic and working around her is very pleasant.

Michele gets things done and done exceptionally well. As the leader of the NC State recruitment team, I was constantly amazed by her innovation, inclusivity, and productivity as a team member. Constantly balancing 5-10 major projects simultaneously, Michele never missed deadlines because she knew how to prioritize, plan, AND execute, a powerful trio. But her real power was in understanding relationship building as the key to successful project management. Her inclusive approach guaranteed buy-in from her stakeholders and her ability to stay connected ensured they delivered on promises. Plus, her energy just inspires you to do more. I miss working with her!
