Lead cross functional teams to ensure improvement opportunities are identified and the business and product line review objectives are accomplished. Partnered with the merchants to identify category growth and optimization opportunities. Developed product assortments, pricing strategies as well as forecast impact of changes. Synthesized findings and communicate next steps towards implementation to senior leadership. ▪ Completed up to 20 business reviews per year with combined sales of approximately $1 Billion per year. ▪ Recommended store clustering tactics to better assort stores based on varying criteria and scope/objectives of the business review. Store clusters created in seasonal categories, Patio and Grills, combined online sales data with store historical data to create clusters that customized product offering based on locale, foot print and average unit retail. This tactic optimized space, and inventory, while giving the customer a focused assortment.▪ Analysis conducted on fixture productivity in flooring led to changes in assortments by converting bay presentations to incorporate special order offerings with stock product. Results yielded reduction in slow turning inventory while expanding product offering. Changes made positively impacted GMROI and inventory turn▪ Developed a methodology for analyzing cost per ounce in Special Order Carpet that allows a basis for comparison between suppliers, strengthening the merchant’s position when facing supplier cost increases, or when negotiating between suppliers for special buys, new programs, etc.
