As research Post-doc, I worked at SLD Particle Physics Experiment, consisting of a cooperation of 27 Universities work-wide, involving over 270 scientist. My main activity was to develop a large (>100K channels) data acquisition system for the experiment. I developed HW and SW system made with fast flash A/D converters, data processing using TI DSP', Motorola 68020 CPU's, Xilix FPGAs to build dedicated Fastbus controller cards. The Real-time data acquisition SW was based on (then) innovative Hunter & Ready Real-Time Executive Kernel. I developed the system architecture, board support package, and application SW. I developed data analysis and reduction packages on IBM mainframe System/370 to extract Physics data from the large data set of the above system. Several scientific publications were made at the time. Show less
