Michele is an experienced catechist who possesses the ability to present information in meaningful manner, to keep records well organized and referenced, and to deal with conflict and disagreement in a sensitive and understanding manner. Michele understands the importance of Faith Formation in our parish community and responds to and helps develop faith formation opportunities for the children and their families of the parish as it continues to grow, supporting the policies and procedures of the Archdiocese of Baltimore and their implementation by the Church of the Holy Apostles. Michele oversees Faith Formation/Sacramental Preparation Ministries which include K-8 Faith Formation, Horizons High School Youth Ministry, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults adapted for Children (RCIC), and Sacramental Preparation for First Penance, First Eucharist and Confirmation. The parish currently consists of approximately 450 families. The Assistant coordinates and trains approximately 30 volunteer catechists. Michele also performs duties with neighboring parishes and organizations: for example, coordinating and running a Vacation Bible School with a neigboring parish with over 100 adult and teen volunteers, assisting in the planning of the bi-annual Baltimore Youth Catholic Conference, and handling logistics for the annual Mid-Atlantic Congress for Pastoral Leaders in Baltimore.
