AbbondiLex is an independent law firm that mainly advises and assists companies, entrepreneurs and investors in their day-to-day operations as well as in complex and innovative commercial, corporate and financial transactions. The small size of the firm allowed me to take part in the core activities and to to gain a lot of experience by taking decisions in first person. The main activities which I followed have been to: - follow a cross-border legal claim involving Turkish, Belgian, Italian and US law. Through mediation, criminal and civil actions, the client has been refunded of his initial investment; - follow bankruptcy procedures for two Italian clients, generated revenues for the firm and avoiding further actions against the CEO’s; - legally assist KlimaDAO for the creation of a DeFi Token backed by an underlying asset such as Carbon. I had to draft contracts and outline regulatory requirements to set up E-money payment institutions; - conduct legal due diligences for cross-border acquisition of Italian S.r.l. companies. Internship Trainee

I have been a trainee in the Finance department of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in the Milan office. There I learned to work in a professional environment, which required pressure control and flexibility. Despite my scarce experience, I managed to take part in some interesting activities: - I worked on regulatory issues regarding the MiFID II directive. I prepared some training lectures for the department regarding the SSM and the SRM provided by th MiFID II and some issues relating to Product Governance, always related to MiFID II; - I performed a legal research on the activities of Crowdlending and Invoice Trading for a Dutch client interested in opening an invoice trading platform in Italy. Besides analyzing all the necessary legal requirements, a due diligence was performed on the only other existing Invoice Trading Platform in Italy; - I collaborated with different departments gaining insights on Italian Property Law, the law and practice of Securitizations and the concept of Transit in the Energy sector.
