Ethos is a nonprofit music school dedicated the promotion of music and music-based education for underserved youth. As Community Engagement Director, I supervised more than 40 music instructors in after-school music programs at 18 public schools, serving hundreds of students each week. Worked with professional bands and musicians in Portland to develop multicultural music assembly curriculum, and coordinated all aspects of assembly implementation, including emceeing many performances. Coordinated aspects of Summer Camps, including volunteer and work study supervision. Assisted with grantwriting and fundraising events and marketing. Later in my time at Ethos, I managed Ethos' satellite location, the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center, a multipurpose venue that rented out and developed artist residencies within a 100 seat theater, gallery and dance studio.
