  R&D in ultrafast spectroscopy. In the discipline ultrashort pulsed lasers are implemented to study charge and electronic dynamics in molecular systems in extremely short time scales. The discipline is between physics, photonics and chemistry and requires in laboratory advanced knowledge of optical systems and laser systems, but also opto-mechanics and electronics.Core tasks:- Management of R&D projects: design and planning of experiments with international research groups; relationship with funding bodies; technical writing (i.e. technical procedures and reports, journal publications).- Responsible of Ultrafast Laboratory: instruments, optics and laser systems daily maintenance; design and implementation of optical trains and beamlines; software development for signal acquisition and data analysis. - Teaching of Fourier optics prakticum: implementation and design of optical projects with BS and MS physics students.Core achievements:- 4 peer reviewed scientific publications of optical setups and experiments designed and performed in the laboratory with international collaborations.- Product test, development and characterization for the marketing of an opto-mechanical instrument (UV achromatic doubling for 8photonics) and a camera developed in our laboratory (Glaz camera from Synertronic Designs).
